Sensory Rooms
A thrilling array of light, touch, vision and sound
The room has is a thrilling array of light, touch, vision, and sound. With projections and sounds of nursery rhymes, bubble machines, live fish tank, ultraviolet space scene, activity boards, floor lighting, 3 shaped infinity mirrors and textured surfaces. There is also an interactive projector. This projects images either on the floor or table which can be touched or stood on to manipulate the various images.
The room and equipment were funded by Manchester Airport, Barclay’s bank, United Utilities and Trafford Council Neighbourhood fund.
Sensory Play
Sensory play encourages your child to learn through exploration, curiosity, problem-solving and creativity. It helps to build nerve connections in the brain and encourages the development of language and fine motor skills. The sensory room is suitable for any age or ability.
